Spelling Ninjas: HF uses the concept of spelling conscious ninjas to engage children in learning the important high and medium frequency words that they need to know on the path to becoming competent readers and spellers.

 

Four fun games and a Master Quiz help embed spelling, sound and word recognition of the high and medium frequency words. The words are separated into manageable lists of 10 words, which the children select as a focus for the games. Children then learn and practice these words through playing challenging games and finally demonstrate what they have learned by taking the Master Quiz at the end of their practice. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

As they play, children accumulate ninja stars and once they have enough, they can use their ninja stars to play the exciting bonus game. 

 

Developed by a primary school teacher, the game allows for multiple user profiles and so is ideal for classroom use as well as individual home use.
